I was 18 at the time, working a minimum wage job...

January 29, 2016

"I was 18 at the time, working a minimum wage job, living in my moms house. I was about 3/4ths through senior year. My mom would always tell me like if you get pregnant I'm putting you out. I found out I was pregnant maybe end of February.

The father of the child was all for having it, but my main concern was myself and this child. The fact that he was NOT working bothered me so bad. So I told him I wasn't keeping it. He had a fit.

I couldn't tell anyone but my best friend of 7 years and of course she wanted me to keep it. She was very understanding to the reasons why I wanted to go through with the abortion. She's my biggest supporter. So I saved up for the abortion and when the day came it was so weird.

Me and my best friend rode the bus to the clinic when we got there all I saw was couples. Some were coming out the room crying and I felt so bad because like I wasn't sad cause I knew it was for the best.

I prayed about it. I prayed so hard.

My advice is do what's best and that's what's best then go through with it. Cause at the end of the day all the people criticizing you are NOT gonna be there for you or paying for anything. My main concern was finishing high school so when I do have a child it can have the best life as possible ❤️"  —Zhane
